EcoCAR Talks to Parents
The Ohio State University recently hosted its annual Parents Weekend. As participants in the event, parents of several university students took a tour of the Center for Automotive Research. EcoCAR members took advantage of the opportunity to discuss the advantages associated with being on a motor sports team as well as the competition itself.
Autumn 2009 Activities for New Members
Meetings are held at CAR: OSU Center for Automotive Research If you need a ride, we wiill shuttle people to CAR from Scott Labs on campus 15 minutes before meetings. So we can know how many people to expect, send an email if you need a ride. The hybrid vehicle work area is clean and ready for a new year of projects!! >> Student Involvement Fair is a Success!
The single largest recruitment event on campus, the Student Involvement Fair, was held recently. Current team members had the chance to talk with incoming freshmen about becoming a part of the EcoCAR team. 71 email addresses were collected and several people joined the team as a result of the event.
Honda Tech Fest
Honda employees got the chance to mingle with OSU EcoCAR members. At the event, EcoCAR hosted a booth and displayed the Center for Automotive Research's electric motorcycle.
OSU EcoCAR attends competition Fall Workshop in DetroitEven though Ohio State's course instruction began only on Wednesday, the OSU EcoCAR team is already getting back into the swing of things at the EcoCAR Fall Workshop at the Renaissance Center in Detroit. The EcoCAR team set up an exhibit located in the conservation area of an agricultural trade show and discussed alternative energy with student and community attendees.
